Bonjour, Hi!
I'm Christine, a proud bootstrapped entrepreneur, an author, a mama, and a witch in business. Over the past two decades, as the CEO of Braindate, I've built a platform that generated over 1 million human connections through peer-to-peer conversations — partnering with TED, SXSW, Salesforce, NVIDIA, and many of the world's most iconic brands to transform events into spaces of belonging, where humans can learn from each other. In 2025, in recognition of its impact on the event industry, Braindate was named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies.
I started out as a Harvard-trained educator with anarchist ideas about classrooms, until I realized the most powerful learning rarely happens between four walls. It happens in informal encounters between people who would never otherwise meet: on subway cars, in conference hallways, in the unscripted spaces of life. That insight became Braindate, built on a premise that still guides my work: business can be both profitable and purposeful, and technology should catalyze human connection, not replace it.
For most of my early years as a founder, I led the way I'd been taught to: relentless hustle, rigid discipline, growth at any cost. By 2019, that path had left me burned out and numbing the pressure in any way I could. After an encounter with a witch guide, I started a personal transformation that taught me a different path: to lead with intuition, care, and authenticity. Within a few years, our revenues quadrupled and my team's well-being soared. That transformation is the foundation of my work and of my forthcoming book, Business Witch — a manifesto for women ready to lead from the traits they were taught to suppress.
My writing and ideas have appeared in Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, Skift, and The CEO Magazine. I've keynoted at SXSW, the World Innovation Summit for Education, Morgan Stanley's Women's Leadership Summit, C2 Montréal, and IBTM World, on stages from Barcelona to Berlin, Doha to Chicago, Austin to Montréal. I live in Montréal with my husband, my two daughters, our two coocoo dogs, my mama, and my chosen family.
